Michele  Lee

"Ginko" 2012

Primarily self-taught, Michele has been obsessively painting since she became sober in 2003.
Her work is described as timeless with aspects of realism, impressionism and expressionism.
Michele strives to create compelling images that will engage the viewer, so they feel as if this moment was captured just for them.
She believes that each painting she intuitively creates is for a specific individual.
“The fun part is waiting to see who the person is and how they connect with their piece”.
The process for her is a hurricane of emotions and color, winding its way to the canvas like a rush of sudden rain.
She loses herself in the painting to emerge sweetly invigorated on the other side.
She leaves behind a creation full of her wildly, colorful universe.
